Daniel and Christopher's School in Italy

This is the boys at their new school in Italy called La Scuola Riva. It is in an awesome old building with 20 foot ceilings and large doors.










As you can see, they have a uniform, called a grembiule (or apron).














This is Christo's preschool class -- Scuola Materna (or nursery school). You can see the beautiful artwork around the classroom, just like home.


This is Daniel's first grade (prima) class in the scuola elementare . As you can see by the boys on the right that making silly faces for a picture is universal. The teachers name is Maestra Paula (pronouced Pa-oo-la with emphasis on the "oo"). Maestra means teacher and in the formal Italian way you refer to your maestra always as maestra. She is energetic and speaks good English so that is great for Daniel.
