We went to the west side of the island for the weekend--Costa Verde (Green Coast) to some hard-to-reach, unspoiled beaches. This beach had everything--70 meter sand dunes, crystal clear blue water, a mountain stream entering the sea, tadpoles in the stream, cappacino/ice cream bar, soft, fine white sand, and even a herd of goats!
The boys had a great time climbing on the sand. We brought home 6 tadpoles and 3 little creatures that looked like little shrimp. The weather was perfect, mid 70s that we spent six hours there. Mom even went swimming for the first time in Italy!
